I was at the last game and I’ll be going Sunday too. I got Galway kits for my daughters so we’re ready to go.” Scully was vocal about his faith in the Galway quest to claim temporary ownership rights of the Liam McCarthy Cup. Scully commended Anthony Cunningham for the way that he has transcended the hurling landscape in Galway. He accredited the manager with ‘galvanising’ and ‘consolidating’ the Galway outfit. Mr Scully spoke with unwavering assurance when citing these two elements as being the cause for revolutionising the competitive edge in the Galway side.
